Admissions Overview

We are now accepting applications for the Spring 2016 semester! Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the semester is full. We look forward to reading your applications and please be in touch with any questions about the application process or the semester program!

Passionate young people have a way of finding us amidst many opportunities for students. The unique combination of environmental studies and social justice curriculum while living in community on a farm makes Woolman a one-of-a-kind experience for students who want to make a difference in the world. At the heart of Woolman is the belief that people come here to delve into issues that feel important to them. Our teachers support students in the learning process by making it deep, relevant, and fun! Choosing to come to Woolman is taking initiative in discovering your potential as an individual.

Semester schools are a growing presence in the educational world, but not all sending schools have worked with us before — Woolman works with students, parents, counselors, teachers, and school administrators to make this program a possibility, so please contact us if you have questions or feel like you've hit a roadblock. We also acknowledge that prospective students have had a wide variety of educational opportunities (or lack thereof) and take into consideration the unique academic journeys of each potential student.

Our admissions staff are here to help you with the application. Please contact us and we will be happy to discuss financial aid, transferring credits to your high school, your educational goals, or any other questions you may have about joining us here in the beautiful Sierra Nevada foothills of California! Send us an email at or give us a call at (530) 273-3183 x24.
