Apply Online
Applications are being accepted for Fall 2012! (Thu, Aug 16 - Sat, Dec 15)
Applying to The Woolman Semester School is a personalized process. Our admissions staff is available to applicants and families from inquiry through enrollment.
The school seeks applicants with a keen interest in peace, social justice, and/or sustainable living. Students do not need to come to Woolman with prior knowledge in these areas, though many of our students do, instead all students must demonstrate an excitement and eagerness to deeply engage with these topics through rigorous academics, self-designed projects, and experiential service-learning trips.
We look forward to guiding you through the application process and helping you decide if Woolman is where you want to take your education.
The application process involves the following steps:
- Complete our Basic Application Form (name, address, contact info, etc.)
- Respond to our essay prompt and short-answer questions
- Have a parent or guardian fill out the parent-guardian questionnaire
- Request two letters of recommendation from current or past teachers
- Send us a copy of your high school transcript
- If applying for financial aid, submit Financial Aid Form
- Participate in a phone interview with our admissions director
You can save each form as a draft and come back to it at anytime. This allows you to complete each step at your own pace. Take your time, the Woolman admissions team is here to help!Contact Estrella or Vanessa if you need assistance: estrellaa@woolman.org; vanessat@woolman.org; 530-273-3183.
Every effort is made to provide an admissions decision within one month of a student's phone interview. If students are applying for financial aid, that paperwork should be submitted with their application for admission.
